Telehealth Highlight

Oklahoma has several telehealth networks in action, including the OU Health Sciences Center, OSU Telemedicine, and Oklahoma Health Care Authority.  In 1997, the Oklahoma Telecommunications Act created the Oklahoma Universal Service Fund (OUSF). This fund may reimburse certain agencies for expenses associated with telehealth and is managed by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. A leading telehealth state, Oklahoma has extensive implementation of telehealth, including 60 county health departments equipped with videoconferencing technology.
